The American Cancer Society's GWB Challenge is a wonderful cause that we would like to bring to the attention to all those who might be interested. Our daughter Jessica has been involved in donating her time to this worthy cause. She is the entertainment chairman on the 21st annual GWB challenge planning committee for the American Cancer Society. Hundreds of people will be assembling at the Port Authority to walk across the George Washington Bridge, and then on a plotted route through northern New Jersey ending in a picnic to celebrate. Our daughter, Jessica will be in charge of assembling the entertainment (clowns, caricaturist, magicians, vocal ensembles, DJ, cheerleaders, karate expo, fitness expo, masseuses), as well as support for the walkers/runners/bicyclists, such as SAG support and bike repairs, rest stops, etc.
The American Cancer Society's GWB Challenge is a non-competitive event for walkers, runners, and cyclists who want to join the fight against cancer. After crossing the world's most traveled bridge, participants choose one of several scenic courses then join us for our world-class GWB Challenge picnic, an uplifting salute to the area's cancer survivors and their families.
Our family is like so many others who have been touched and devistated by this terrible disease. The hope is to someday end the sadness and pain caused by cancer. We're very proud of our daughter's volunteer efforts to try and help to make a differnce in the lives of many and the world around her. We hope you will join us in making a contribution to the fight against cancer.
