• The Economy is faultering with banks having limited money to lend.
• The Unemployment Rate has gone into the double digits in many states. 
• The Stock Market - well, that's always Up & Down! These days it's more down than up.
• Realtors are either very slow yet some are still busy
• The Weather is either too cold or too hot - sounds like a fairytale - Goldilocks?

The answer to the million dollar question? All of these factors are important when considering home ownership. What's driving The Real Estate Market These Days? Sale/List Price....................... 86.229 (13-14% differential)

Of these Sold properties, Two were Vacant homes, One was a Short Sale and Two were New Construction while one Sold in just 13 days for Full Price.  All but the full price Sale sold at approximately $100,000 below their original list prices.  Sold information was taken from the NJ Multiple Listing Service and does not include privately sold homes.  All information is deemed reliable.

We were invited to join Active Rain back in October 2006 by fellow Rainer Donna Harris of the Dallas, Texas area.  Thank you Donna!  It wasn't long before I dove right into this family of Real Estate professionals from all across the country.  As many of you know Blogging can be very addicting.  And blog I did.  Along with the Blogging came reading other' Rainer's blogs and leaving comments to show you read and appreciated their ideas.  But that wasn't all.  There were all sorts of Groups to join.  It didn't stop there though - Contests gave everyone the opportunity to join in the fun.  Book clubs introduced reading materials to help one and other grow.  Why there were even Rainers calling each other just to talk and share their experiences with each other! 

So you're probably wondering about now - what does this all have to do with Active Rain being a Bridge Over Troubled Waters?  Well when you pick up a newspaper or turn on the t.v., it's not too tough to figure out that things are pretty hard out there these days.  What with people losing their jobs and banks and businesses closing it can be pretty frightening.  So many of those in the Real Estate industry are feeling the pain of it too.

Bergen County, NJ Popularity is growing!

Having both grown up in the Pascack Valley area of Bergen County, we understand why.  However for those who don't know, we thought we'd share some of the finer points that make people so anxious to call the Bergen County area "HOME"!

The Bergen County schools are Top Notch and highly rated as well.  When it comes to leisure, pick your passion.  Bergen County has Golf Courses, Skating Rinks, Bowling Alleys, Tennis Courts, Parks, Soccer & Baseball Fields - there's something for the entire family!
